Gorgeous.
DOA Catfight (Hitomi vs. Ayane) Lines
Knocked this out in about two and a half or three hours. It’s been a long, long time since I got so excited about a piece and had fun the whole time I was drawing it. Did my heart good.
Torhi
I wanted to draw something sexy. So here’s my and dovingbird’s OC OTP, Tobias Ortiz and Rhiannon Toft.
Roxy Fanart
Bored at work, trying out a different style. So here’s a Roxy from memory!
Edit: Totally fucked her hair up. Oh well, I had no refs available at the time.
Doodle Time: Ayane (DOA) ~ 30 Minutes
This one ended up turning out with a Takuji Kawano (of Soul Calibur fame) vibe outta nowhere. Haha.

I force myself to draw in the hopes of improving and finally being able to appreciate my art. Sometimes I look at what I’ve drawn and feel the urge to rip them all into pieces. Sometimes I forget why I draw in the first place.
I hate this feeling. I wish I could appreciate myself more.
To the both of you:
What lead you to draw was a keen sense of, and love for, Beauty. The problem is, you can see Beauty far clearer with your eyes (both physical and mental) than you can create it with your hands. That is to say, your sense of style is greater than your ability to produce it.
Suppose you have a child. Suppose, now, that an angel comes to you and shows you in a vision what that child will be like when they grow up, down to the detail. And what they show you is so beautiful to you, is everything you could ever hope for your child to be and fills you with pride and inspiration. You return to the present filled with a passionate love and devotion to your child…
…who just shit themselves and needs a new diaper…
…who just came home from school with a bad report card, or maybe a black eye…
…who just came home with a significant other you’d love to deck…
…the list goes on. You know in your heart who they will become, but have to constantly live with the person they are now until they get there. Sometimes you grow angry at the child because they don’t live up to who you know they will be one day.
That child is your artwork. The vision is whatever you find inspiring and beautiful and wonderful. And that is why you must love this child of yours. Love them with all of your heart, no matter how flawed or ugly they presently are. Because they are your child. Your art. And one day they will blossom and become something you will be infinitely proud of.
But you must love it today.
My homework assignment for Intro to Seq, making a comic based on a scene from a movie in the style of a famous cartoonist.
The movie is Inception, the artist is Bryan Lee O’malley (Scott Pilgrim).I had a ton of fun with this assignment. I’ve been looking forward to it all quarter, really, lol. Kinda got distracted in drawing all the characters in his style. I still need to draw Robert Fischer and Mal in the style. I’ll get to that
after school stops eating meeventually. :Di have to reblog this because it’s sooooo cool and really well done and i am obsessed with Inception. my only crit would be that you haven’t really gone below head & shoulders in two whole pages …. oh, and the word balloons would bleed off page (at the top), which is a no-no :0
You committed the sincerest form of flattery, and the flattered noticed. Well done.
25 abandoned Yugoslavia monuments that look like they’re from the future
“These structures were commissioned by former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito in the 1960s and 70s to commemorate sites where WWII battles took place or where concentration camps stood. They were designed by different sculptors and architects, conveying powerful visual impact to show the confidence and strength of the Socialist Republic. In the 1980s, these monuments attracted millions of visitors per year, especially young pioneers for their ‘patriotic education.’ After the Republic dissolved in early 1990s, they were completely abandoned, and their symbolic meanings were forever lost. From 2006 to 2009, Kempenaers toured around the ex-Yugoslavia region with the help of a 1975 map of memorials, bringing before our eyes a series of melancholy yet striking images.”
always reblog!
Is it bad I saw a Tie Fighter in the first one? That’s bad right?
But seriously, these are lovely. I’m grateful to the team who found these and brought them to the world’s attention.
